New Application Note #181
This Application Note demonstrates how Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance (MP-SPR) can be used to monitor enzymatic degradation of xylan on cellulose model surfaces in real time under flow conditions.
Parameters calculated from the MP-SPR data, including layer thickness and surface mass density, reveal how xylan degradation depends on xylanase concentration. The study highlights the capability of MP-SPR to provide detailed insight into dynamic biomaterial and enzymatic interactions at surfaces.
This application note is based on the publications by Schaubeder et al., Carbohydrate Polymers (2024) and Schaubeder et al., Carbohydrate Polymers (2022).
