SPResso talks 11.03.2026 - The versatility of Surface Plasmon Resonance in nanoscale drug delivery systems
We’re excited to have BioNavis Application Scientist Elena Scurti present a webinar titled The versatility of Surface Plasmon Resonance in nanoscale drug delivery systems.
Efficient drug delivery is still a major hurdle in pharmaceutical development. Despite thousands of FDA-approved drugs, less than 1% use nanoparticle-based systems—and clinical success remains rare due to poor targeting and low delivery efficiency.
Traditional lab models struggle to predict real-world outcomes. Static, label-dependent assays can alter nanoparticle behavior, fail to replicate the body’s dynamic environment, and often give misleading results.
Multi-Parametric Surface Plasmon Resonance (MP-SPR) changes the game. This label-free, real-time technology lets researchers monitor how nanoparticles interact with living cells under physiologically relevant conditions. It provides detailed insights into binding, uptake, particle heterogeneity, and even protein corona composition—without labels or artifacts.
